It’s been just over a week now and Lupi is starting to settle in. He just about realises that he isn’t going back to the Kennels and that this is his new home. We are having a few trust issues still and he’s found that he likes to chase Cats, but this is something we continue to work on.
Just in case you are wondering, in this photo he is on the lead, but I removed it in Photoshop. He’s not ready to be off the lead yet because we have no way of recall. So he walks on the lead until we are completely satisfied with his trust in us and of course, his hearing issues make it even more difficult.

Nothing highlights my Dogs-In-Nature Photo Shoot more than Wally this morning stepping into sunlight just breaking through the river bank tree line. This truly is a “Dog In Nature”
I watched and waited for him to wander into this light beam before snapping this shot of him.

It’s always great practice using Wally, not just for my Dogs-In-Nature Photo Shoots but for other wildlife too.
First we were at the river and he was splashing around like a maniac so I was on hand to capture his craziness, throwing the odd stone to attract his attention.

Had a great time yesterday at the SOS Algarve Animal Dog Walk & Photo Shoot Charity event. Even though the numbers attending were a little less than we hoped, it was still a great day raising money for such a great charity! It really was a pleasure to help and of course, have a great time with all the dogs! I went along on the walk to capture some photographs and these will follow in a couple of days, below are the individual photo shoots. I continue to concentrate on more creative styles and this morning Wally was yet again my model. Using the sun to back and side light him as he loved his time in the long grass.

Yesterday morning I snapped this shot of Wally running through some spring flowers, the light was great, but the sky behind him was thick white clouds. So I set to work processing the photo and gave it a vintage-retro look which works really well with the horrible sky. It is one of my favourite photos of Wally and we love it so much I have printed it in A3 to go on the wall in the house.
