For those that have followed my exploits for a few years will know that I love the “behind the scenes” preparation of getting a great shot. Sometimes it’s like the TV show Scrapheap Challenge. I’ve been wanting to build this project for a while and this morning I found just the perfect prop for my new Bodge-Job Rogers Project. A broken water-heating solar panel, so I got to work to strip it down leaving just the aluminium casing.

The new European directive GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) has been launched to protect online sensitive data, rather than write a whole blog on what this is, please refer to the Wikipedia Page written about it.

A short while ago I created a Facebook group for budding photographers in the Algarve to share their photos and build a community.
Each week there is a Themed competition in which the Theme is selected by the previous week’s winner. This week’s theme is “Country Flowers” and not only will the winner get to select the following weeks theme, but they will also win a free space on my next Digital Photography Fundamentals Workshop (which can be gifted if not wanted). Anyone is welcome to join the group it doesn’t matter on your level of experience or the equipment you use, the idea is all about fun!

Just a quick update to let you know that there has been a slight change to the pricing structure of the Private Group Workshops.
Originally it was priced per group, however, it is now priced per person which makes it more affordable for smaller groups. The price per person is the same as the Open Workshops at €45 per person and is available to book for between 3 and 6 people. Of course, 1-to-1 and 1-to-2 are still available.

I couldn’t help but notice that there isn’t really a public open Facebook Group for budding photographers to share their photos here in the Algarve, so I created one.
The intention is to get more people involved in Photography and share their snaps online. This isn’t just for people with expensive equipment, as you may know, I love the challenge of Smartphone photography so all formats are welcome in the group.
There will be some fun themed competitions running on there and also a weekly selection of the Group Cover Photo. The group is public and open to anyone, you don’t even have to live in the Algarve, maybe you’ve been on holiday and want to share your photos!
Once the group establishes itself, I will also run competitions for free places on my Workshops
