I was checking through some older un-processed photos today and came across this amazing photo of Wally from May 2019. I don’t take as many photos during the walks as I used to with Wally as it was easy when there was just Wally, now there is Wally, Millie and Snowy it’s a little but of a handful.
It also reminded me to let remind you that Gift Vouchers are available for my Natural Dog Photo Shoots. Looking for something different to give as a Christmas gift this year? They are available to purchase right here with a customised voucher emailed directly to you where you can either print off or send electronically as a gift.
Two new prints are available to purchase in the Web Shop. As usual, the prints are available in a choice of two sizes unframed or framed with a choice of 4 styles.
The amazing Moody Sunset which I photographed last night is available.
Occasionally, I print some of my favoured and colourful work on Acrylic. This is an expensive process where the image is printed onto a piece of acrylic and then sealed at the back with white background. The effect is amazing as it allows light to enter the acrylic and make the photograph look like it’s back-lit.
I can now announce 4 new photographs in special edition 60x40cm Acrylic prints of Carvoeiro, Burgau, Praia de São Rafael and one of my best sellers, the Hazy Sunset at Arco de Albandeira.
These acrylics can be viewed at my Gallery Room by appointment near São Marcos da Serra or I can deliver or meet in the central Algarve area.
Click on each image to view in the online shop, the original photos are also shown below too.
Yesterday morning whilst walking the dogs, I spotted a pair of Kingfishers already playing “Kiss Chase” up and down the river. This is a ritual that a mating pair carry out at the start of the breeding season. It’s not even March yet!
Coincidentally, whilst going through some of my photo storage today, I stumbled across a short video I took during a session where I took these 2 shots.

I’ve been planning this trip for a while (since last year) and today I can finally announce a date and bookings are already available. Only 8 spaces are available so will probably sell out quite quickly.
Here is a date for your diary, Wednesday 13th May 2020. This is a guided trip to the amazing Castro Verde area in the Lower Alentejo with transport included.
Come and join me for a day where you’ll be picked up in either Albufeira, São Bartolomeu de Messines or São Marcos da Serra in a Air Conditioned 9-seater Minibus and driven into the Steppe terrain around Castro Verde. You will visit the fantastic LPN centre nearby where you will have a presentation followed by staff available for any questions. For those that are feeling the need to explore, we will take a gentle 3.5km walk around the site to view the many species of bird life present in this area. If we are lucky we will see the beautiful European Roller that breed at the centre.
After a lunch stop (not included) you’ll be driven around the local Castro Verde area on the hunt for some of the larger species of raptors that frequent the area, including various Vultures, Eagles and Harriers. Of course, we may even get to spot the Little and Great Bustards that the LPN have helped survive in the area.
