I thought I’d share a couple of shots that I took whilst out and about on my recent holiday.

This Pelican at Key West on the Florida Keys was just about to dive to catch a fish, on this occasion, I don’t think it caught anything.

This Great Blue Heron stood for ages on this rock just off the beach at our Hotel in Long Key.

Eventually, he did get a fish to eat.

It took me a lot of searching to try and identify this next bird. I loved the bright green legs! It turns out that it’s a juvenile Little Blue Heron, yes, Blue! The young are white before developing their blue feathers.

This Common Sandpiper was busy jumping from rock to rock eating lots of insects.

Finally, a Black Vulture, this was taken in Cozumel in Mexico. They are big birds and when flying make our Buzzards look like Sparrows. They are commonly seen in Florida and Mexico soaring around.
