Saturday 18th August is my next Nature Photography Walk up here in the hills of the Algarve.
I was out this morning walking the route and it’s going to be a great one. Around 6.5kms in length, nothing difficult, just a couple of short hills to walk up. I spotted a colony of Bee Eaters out catching their breakfast, Red-legged Partridge, Iberian Water Frogs and even a large Montpelier Snake. The Cork Oak Strippers where also out on the route removing the bark from the Cork Oaks.
Just remember, its predicted to be hot on Saturday with our local temperature reaching (at least) 40 deg in the afternoon, therefore it will be quite a warm morning. I would recommend you carry some water and you may also want to bring a hat.
I look forward to seeing new and old faces on Saturday.
