Short Toed Treecreeper (and exciting Bee-Eater news!)

First of all, I spotted my first European Bee-Eater of 2021 today, I heard them yesterday, but this morning a large group came through my area, I have also heard them in a usual location that I will be investigating soon.

Here is a very cropped photo I shot of one.

Also at breakfast this morning I watched a Short-toed Treecreeper gathering nest material in an oak tree. I waited patiently for it to come into a sunlit clearing, but it wasn’t being the best model and only managed this one in a tiny ray of light shining through the thick branches.
