Dreamy Dog

As I was having an issue with my Nikon 80-400mm lens, I cleaned the electrical contacts before my morning “Wally Walk” and (as usual) used Wally as my test subject.

Looks like the issue has been fixed, here he is enjoying a rest with his stick of the day!

Morning Dog Walk: Do You Often Feel Like You Are Being Watched?

This morning, we walked along a nearby field which usually has a large flock of sheep and they seemed to take a lot of interest. This photo reminds me of school class photographs where you can never get all the children to look at the camera at the same time!

I don’t know why, but I always think Sheep look better in Black and White.

Buzzards Soaring

It was an amazing clear sky early evening so I thought I’d try my luck at capturing the House Martins, my luck was out!

I did see this group of six Buzzards circling on the thermals though. We have a lot of Buzzards where I live, but I have never seen such a large group together.

This shot was taken into the low sun, so converting to Black and White was the plan from the start to get a nice silhouette effect.

Black and White Sheep, That’s All!

Nothing to see here, just some Black & White Sheep for the fun of it!

I was waiting on the edge of a field as I could hear Barn Owls in a nearby forest, they didn’t show themselves, but I did have a large flock of Sheep watching me and as the light was fading quick I thought I’d snap some shots to convert to Black & White.

A sort of failed river walk today

Decided to go for a walk along a the River Dove this evening in open countryside in the hope that there would be something interesting along the river banks during the Golden Hour, but all I found was water and mud.

So heading back I saw a silhouetted figure of a Rook sitting on top of an old dead tree, so thought it would make a nice high contrast black and white photo. Also did a couple of Lens Compression Sunsets. I couldn’t decide which one of the 2 I liked most, so have shared them both.
