Recent Dogs-In-Nature Photoshoot Of A Pair Of Rhodesian Ridgebacks

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a pair of Rhodesian Ridgebacks in their own garden. It was a tricky shoot due to the amount of trees and bushes, but came away with photos that the owner loves. A Dogs-In-Nature shoot allows the dog(s) to behave normally and allows me to capture the natural behaviour that you will always remember.

SOS Algarve Animal Charity Event – 11th May 2019

Had a great time yesterday at the SOS Algarve Animal Dog Walk & Photo Shoot Charity event. Even though the numbers attending were a little less than we hoped, it was still a great day raising money for such a great charity! It really was a pleasure to help and of course, have a great time with all the dogs! I went along on the walk to capture some photographs and these will follow in a couple of days, below are the individual photo shoots. Morning Dog Walk: Fresh Otter Evidence

I take a camera along on my Dog Walks to bring you some of the sightings that I see on my morning walks, these photos are rarely going to be great quality as its hard enough keeping an energetic Dog entertained and get close enough to anything. They also help me identify where species are so that I can plan to return.

Although I have been successful at a different river location nearby, my local Otters still remain very elusive. This morning, there is fresh evidence of Otter activity down at the river.

First I noticed fresh footprints in the wet mud.

Practice Practice Practice…..

For those that have attended one of my Workshops will know how much I stress that you have to practice photography. This isn’t the case just for beginners learning, but also experienced photographers.

You will often see me using Wally as my model whilst out walking him in the mornings. He loves the “Stay….Stay….Stay….Fetch!” game and this morning we had a lot of fun. Not only is this practice good for technique and the technical aspects of the camera, but also helps with framing and artistic approach.

New Service : Dogs-In-Nature Photo Shoots!

If you’re a regular blog reader then you will know that I often post photos of Wally when we are out on our adventures. People keep mentioning that I should start offering this type of photography for other Dog owners and I have been considering this for some time.

So let me introduce to you Dogs-In-Nature Photo Shoots! The idea of this new project is to offer something slightly different to the usual Dog Portrait photography that although is great, often doesn’t show the Dog’s real nature and character. On my photo shoots I will be accompanying you and your dog(s) and capturing photographs of them playing, running, sitting gazing into space and anything else you wish to capture all in a natural environment rather than a studio setting.

This photo of Wally is a perfect example of his character.

If you have more than one dog, or even want to share a session with another owner to reduce the cost then this is also an option. Each session guarantees, at least, 10 digital photographs and also 1 professionally printed A3-sized Photograph per dog. Further prints will also be available to purchase at a later date in various sizes.
